經四十八國及地區有關學術機構的五千六百一十二位專家學者認定的“特級國際大師”元首級榮位之義雲高先生(H.H.第三世多杰羌佛），作為大陸繪畫藝術展出團團長，率團八人，應奧林匹亞基金會董事長吳經國先生與雲慈正覺會會長喜饒根登之邀請，與五月七日下午三時抵達中正機場。歡迎場面盛況空前。舉著旗幟，打著標語、手捧鮮花、吹奏鼓樂，上萬各界民眾高呼：「義雲高大師(H.H.第三世多杰羌佛）好！」「熱烈歡迎義雲高大師(H.H.第三世多杰羌佛）」的歡呼聲交錯縱橫響徹雲霄。人們一擁而上爭向大師和夫人敬獻鮮花和哈達，秩序井然的歡迎隊伍頓時被擠得大亂。鮮花和哈達將大師和團員們重重包圍，在幾十個魁偉健壯的護衛人員保衛下，好不容易從鮮花和人潮中步入迎賓車。貼著紅色歡迎標語的一千多輛迎賓車隊追隨著大師的坐車湧進台北市，造成交通嚴重堵塞，迎賓車隊從機場到台北市足足走了三個多小時。
