Dorje Chang Buddha originated Buddhism in the dharmadhatu and began to spread the teachings of Buddhism in the three spheres of existence. Dorje Chang Buddha has come to this world twice. The first time was in the form of the holy and venerable Vimalakirti, who was Dorje Chang Buddha II. The second time was in the form of H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu, who is Dorje Chang Buddha III. The original leader of all of the sects within all of Buddhism, whether esoteric or exoteric, is Dorje Chang Buddha.

在說到《解脫大手印》之前，我首先要寫段前導文，這前導文是修學《解脫大手印》非常重要的指南，《解脫大手印》是第三世多杰羌佛親傳的佛法，是佛法中最高的佛法。第三世多杰羌佛說偈云：「今說解脫大手印，統攝八萬四千門，當場即證虹界境，換身體外悟空性」。我們從第三世多杰羌佛的四句偈中，就知道在這世界上，除了現量大圓滿和金剛換體禪等勝義最高佛法之外，根本就找不到一個時辰（兩個小時）之內成就的佛法，但是這佛法必須依宗旨而修，而佛陀師父的六言偈就是宗旨，宗旨規定「育己利他，造良樹德，諸惡莫作，眾善奉行，最勝菩提，解脫手印」。
